03 / Quality

Five hold points.
No shortcuts between them.

Our ABSA-accepted quality program runs every job the same way, whether it's one scrubber or a forty-tonne module. Your inspector gets an ITP at kickoff and a phone call before every hold point.

  1. 1

    MTR review

Every plate, pipe, forging and fitting checked against its mill test report — heat numbers transferred and logged before it's cut.

    Hold point
  2. 2

    Fit-up inspection

Bevels, root gaps, alignment and nozzle orientation checked against the drawing by our QC inspector before a root pass goes in.

    Hold point
  3. 3

    Weld map & NDE

Each weld tied to a welder, a WPS and an NDE report. RT, PAUT, MT and PT to code — or to your spec, whichever is stricter.

    Witness point
  4. 4

    Hydrotest

Calibrated gauges, a chart recorder and the hold time written on the ITP. Witnessed by the Authorized Inspector and, if you want, by you.

    Hold point
  5. 5

    Data book

Compiled as we build, not after. Reviewed by QC, indexed and sent electronically the day the vessel ships.

    Ships with it

Every vessel ships with a complete data book.

Not "to follow." Not a week later after three emails. In the truck's paperwork and in your inbox the same day.

  • 01Manufacturer's Data Report (U-1A / U-1)
  • 02CRN registration & ABSA documentation
  • 03Mill test reports, heat-number traced
  • 04Weld map with welder IDs
  • 05WPS / PQR / welder qualifications
  • 06NDE reports & RT film or PAUT data
  • 07Hydrotest chart & gauge calibrations
  • 08Coating report with DFT readings

We sent the RFQ cold on a Tuesday. Budget number Thursday, firm quote the next week, and the data book was complete the day the separators landed. That's rarer than it should be.
Project Manager, Calgary EPC
Their QC inspector calls us before a hold point, not after. Four years of skids and we haven't written them a single NCR.

05 / Careers

We're hiring B-pressure welders, fitters, and a QC inspector.

Day shift. Home every night. Rates posted right here, because "competitive" doesn't tell you anything. If you can pass a bend test, we want to meet you this week.

B-Pressure Welder

$50–$56 / hr

SMAW and GTAW on carbon and low-temp; FCAW a plus. Vessels, nozzles and heavy-wall spools. Top-of-market for the Peace Country — the high end goes to welders who can run stainless root and hot pass.

3 openings · Shop · Grande Prairie

Pressure Fitter

$44–$50 / hr

Read isos and vessel drawings, lay out nozzles, fit to tolerance without being babysat. Journeyman Steamfitter-Pipefitter or Welder with real fitting time.
