How a quote works
Owners and fleet managers told us the slowest part of a refit was getting a straight number. So we put a clock on it — and we publish the clock.
Vessel, length, tonnage, the work you need and the window you'd like. Attach photos, drawings or your last survey if you have them.
Not a coordinator — the person who will run your job. They ask the questions a form can't, and book a walk-through if the boat is local.
Haul, blocking, lay days, labour by trade and materials, each on its own line. Known unknowns are priced as clear allowances, not buried.
We pencil your haul-out on the board for seven days while you decide. No deposit to hold, no pressure call on day six.
The two-day promise: if your written quote isn't in your inbox within two business days of the call, your haul and relaunch are on us. Counted from the yard's job log, not a marketing claim.

No subcontractor chain, no "the painter can't start until the welder's done somewhere else." Every trade below works on our hardstand, on our schedule, under one project manager.
150-tonne travelift with a 9 m lift well, hydraulic stands and a blocking plan drawn from your docking plan before the boat arrives.
Four heated, lit bays — two at 34 m — so coatings cure on schedule in a Victoria February and crews work dry from November to March.
Steel and aluminum. Hull replating, bulwarks, fish holds, A-frames, davits, stern rollers, new wheelhouses. CWB-certified to both W47.1 and W47.2.
Engine swaps and rebuilds, reduction gears, shaft pulls, cutless bearings, seals and propeller reconditioning with dynamic balancing on site.
Abrasive blast to SA 2.5, epoxy barrier systems, antifouling, topsides and superstructure. Every coat logged with DFT readings you get a copy of.
AC and DC rewiring, switchboards, shore power, alarm and monitoring, plus nav and comms: radar, AIS, chartplotters, autopilot and sonar installs.
We walk your vessel against the inspection checklist before the inspector does, fix the gaps, and have the paperwork ready when they arrive.
Pre-purchase, insurance and condition surveys: we haul, wash, open up what the surveyor needs and price the recommendations the same week.

Send us your survey
Insurance, condition or pre-purchase — upload it as-is. Our estimator reads every recommendation and sends back a costed plan, so you know what's urgent and what can wait a season.
PDF, Word or photos of the pages. Up to 50 MB. We reply with the costed A/B/C plan within three business days.
Your survey stays with our estimator. We never share it with brokers or other yards.
Recent work
Four typical refits from the last two seasons. Vessel names withheld at owners' request — the numbers are straight from the job files.
UT gauging found wastage along the turn of the bilge. We cropped and renewed 14 m² of 10 mm plate, rebuilt two fish-hold frames, blasted and recoated the bottom, and closed out every deficiency before the Transport Canada inspector's second visit.
Out with two tired diesels, in with a matched pair of Tier 3 engines, new gears, shafts and props. We fabricated new engine beds, re-routed exhaust, rewired the engine room and ran sea trials with the operator's own skipper at the helm.
Vibration complaint traced to a bent tailshaft and worn cutless bearings. Shaft straightened and re-machined in our shop, bearings and seals renewed, propeller repitched and balanced, and alignment logged by laser for the owner's maintenance file.
Bottom taken back to gelcoat with a new barrier and antifouling system, topsides refinished in Bay 1, stabiliser seals renewed and a full nav-electronics refresh — all while the crew stayed aboard on the hard.
Every finished job comes with a close-out package: before-and-after photos, coating and alignment logs, a parts list with serial numbers, and the quote reconciled line by line against the final invoice.
Safety & certifications
Government and commercial operators need to see the certificates before the boat moves. They're listed here, and current copies go out with every quote.
Certificate of Recognition safety program, externally audited every year.
Certified for welded steel and aluminum construction, with tickets on file per welder.
Inspection prep and deficiency close-outs on commercial and government vessels.
Closed-loop wash water, contained blasting and monthly sampling posted at the gate.
On staff, signing off every coat on every hull we paint.
Certificates of insurance issued same day for owners and lenders.
Questions owners ask
Can't find yours? The yard manager answers the phone at (250) 555-0147, 7 am–5 pm, Monday to Friday.
Every known item is priced firm. Things nobody can see until the boat is out — wastage behind a liner, a seized shaft — are listed as named allowances with a unit rate. If we find more, you get a written change order with a price before anyone picks up a tool.
Yes. Owner crews are welcome for maintenance and prep after a short site orientation. Hot work, blasting and anything near the travelift stay with our trades for insurance reasons.
Hardstand is billed per metre per day, covered bays per metre per week. Both are on your quote as their own lines. If we overrun our own schedule, lay days stop counting on the date we promised.
We keep one lift slot a week open for emergencies — fouled props, holed hulls, running-gear failures. Call the yard line first, then send the request so we have the details on file.
The basics are enough to start: vessel type, length, displacement and what you need done. A docking plan, recent survey or a few photos of the problem area will tighten the quote and often save a site visit.
Regularly. We're set up for public-sector procurement: insurance certificates, safety documentation and itemized quotes formatted for tender responses, with security-cleared escorts on request.
